We’re so excited to share that planning for this year’s Footsteps for Family Building Walk is underway! We hope you’ll join us for this celebration of the different resolutions to family building challenges. You can walk in-person at the Warren Conference Center and Inn in Ashland, MA or virtually from wherever you are on Sunday Sept. 25th.
Last year’s Walk brought together the RNE community from 20 states, 3 countries, and 2 continents, led by an amazing group of volunteers from across New England. We’re honored to introduce this year’s Walk Committee Co-Chairs, two of our favorite people, Heather Smidt and Brooke Hamilton!
A long-time member of the RNE community and one of the Co-Chairs of last year’s Walk, Heather is a Massachusetts-based acupuncturist with a passion for reproductive health.
I have both personal and professional experience with infertility. I felt incredibly alone on my own family building journey and only learned about RNE when I started working professionally.
The resources and support that RNE provides are vital to our community and I want to make sure everyone knows about them and knows that they are not alone.
Our second Chair, Brooke is a long-time friend of RNE turned Walk Co-Chair and family building advocate from Maine.
My partner and I struggled to expand our family for three years before pursuing fertility treatments. Our children are here, in part, because of the support and information available to us and I want others to know that you are not alone!
There are so many folks facing similar challenges while trying to grow their families, and while you may not always see them, they are walking alongside you. This community is incredibly gracious and always available to provide love and support.
Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to Walk Day and we hope you’ll walk with us this September!
