Welcome to a new feature that will appear regularly on the RNE blog. I’ll share some information from RESOLVE New England (RNE) and highlight some of the more interesting things I’ve come across on my trip around the Web.

First up, the latest from RNE:

It’s a new year, and RNE’s 2016 support group schedule is up. These peer groups are a really great way to connect with others and get support, no matter where you are in the journey to parenthood.

Next, from the Internet at large:

From the OvaScience blog, Jeannie Celiberti has a post that really hit home to me. I think anyone who’s dealt with infertility can identify with what Jeannie has written here.

I also want to highlight a good resource, Keiko Zoll’s The Infertility Voice Daily. It’s a daily “newspaper” (for those of you who are old enough to remember what newspapers are) full of articles and videos related to infertility. Full disclosure: When I was in college, my mom used to cut articles out from the Boston Globe sports section and mail them to me. I am ancient.

This week, one story, in particular, jumped out: With IVF, Persistence Pays Off. From the New York Times, the article has some interesting stats about IVF success rates as the number of transfers go up.

And, no links article would be complete without… Robots! In this case “Spermbots” that may be able to help male factor infertility. Seems pretty wild, I mean, check this out: “… the researchers constructed tiny metal helices just large enough to fit around the tail of a sperm… Lab testing showed that the motors can be directed to slip around a sperm cell, drive it to an egg for potential fertilization and then release it.”

Clinical trials haven’t started yet, but wow.
