Dear RNE Community,
The leaked draft decision from the Supreme Court regarding Roe v. Wade is something that deeply concerns me. In my communications with our Board and other members of our community, I feel that this is an opportunity for Resolve New England (RNE) to clearly affirm our principles.
At RNE, we believe:
- In family building rights for all people
- Everyone should have access to all forms of reproductive health care
- People should have privacy to make their own health care decisions
RNE is a leader in supporting legislation that advances reproductive care and family building and actively opposes legislation that would limit a person’s access to safe, appropriate health care, including abortion.
We are concerned not only about the direct impact of this decision, but also the implications for fertility care, including IVF, genetic testing, fertility preservation, pregnancy loss, and more.
RNE is committed to working with those who are on the frontlines of protecting reproductive care and autonomy. If you care about this and would like to get involved, please reach out to me at kwleblanc@allpathsfb.org.
Sincerely,
Kate Weldon LeBlanc
RNE Executive Director
